Web Browser
A web browser is a software program for retrieving and presenting web
pages or other resourse on the World Wide Web. A web page or resource is
identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI/URL) and in addition to
web pages may be an image, video, audio or other content. Hyperlinks
present in web pages and resources allow users easily to navigate their
browsers to related web pages and resources.
Although browsers are primarily intended to use the World Wide Web, they
can also be used to access information provided by web servers in
private networks or files in file systems.
The major web browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google
Chrome, Opera, and Safari.
